My Unforgetable Journey from Chandigarh To Manali and solang valley by bus
CHANDIGARH TO MANALI (HIMACHAL PRADESH, INDIA)
From the childhood i always wanted to travel the world . I am writing about my Journey Experience. My journey starts from Manali. I live in Chandigarh. It was my first college trip with my friends from Chandigarh to Manali. The journey begins from the Panjab University at late at night. It was the journey by bus.
MANALI
Manali is a resort town nestled in the mountains of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh near the northern end of the Kullu Valley, at an altitude of 2,050 m (6,726 ft) in the Beas River Valley. It is located in the Kullu district, about 270 km (168 mi) north of the state capital, Shimla, 309 km (192 miles) northeast of Chandigarh and 544 km (338 miles) northeast of Delhi, the federal capital.
The small town, with a population of 8,096. Manali is the beginning of an ancient trade route to Ladakh and from there over the Karakoram Pass on to Yarkand and Khotan in the Tarim Basin. It is a popular tourist destination and serves as the gateway to Lahaul and Spiti district as well as Leh.
Journey starts late at night from Chandigarh to manali and solang valley by bus
Journey starts from the panjab university by bus. Manali can be reached from Chandigarh by national highway NH21 that passes through Bilaspur, Sundernagar, Mandi and Kullu towns. It was a Luxury bus and covered its all distance overnight. In morning our bus reached to manali bus stand. From manali bus stand we took taxi to reach our hotel. It was a nice hotel situated on mall road. From the hotel balcony we hake beautiful daisy. Mountains covered with snow seems like we are seeing a man made painting but it was not a painting it was a real picture made by God.
Kothi and Solang Valley journey in manali
In the noon we began our jouney to Kothi and Solang Valley. From our hotel we did the mini bus for Kothi and Solang Valley. First we reached to Kothi it hardly took 35 minutes to reach there. It was the most beautiful place I have ever seen in my life. Snowfall was going on, everything was covered with snow, temperature was around -4 or -5. We made a little snow man there. it was a place I will remember in my entire life. From Kothi we began our journey to Solang Valley in the same mini bus. It tooks around 25-30 minutes to reach Solang Valley. Solang Valley is like heaven on Earth. Solang Valley is a side valley at the top of the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh,India 14 km northwest of the resort town Manali on the way to Rohtang Pass. Solang Valley is known for its summer and winter sport conditions. We did many sports activities there. We did Parachuting, Paragliding, Skating and Zorbing. Giant slopes of lawn comprise Solang Valley and provide its reputation as a popular ski resort. A few ski agencies offering courses and equipments reside here and operate only during winters. In the evening we get back to our hotel rooms.
In summer the maximum temperature goes by 20 degrees C in Manali which falls substantially during the night. Cotton clothes are used in tropical summer and in winter heavy woollen clothes are required. The top ideal time to visit Manali beautiful place is between the month of May and October.
